75 Degrees in January???

This weekend was such a beautiful surprise!
Last week was cold, and this coming week is supposed to be cold...
I mean it's January right?  Cold is normal.  But this weekend was too good to be true.  After Lily's tennis lesson, we went to the park at Lake Hefner for a picnic and some play time.  (Vivian slept through that part)  Anything she wants to sleep through is fine by us.
We really spent the whole day outside.  Playing baseball with the neighbors, jumping on the tramp, washing cars...
Every time I walked into the house I walked right back out.
I had to document this January day, so I got the old camera out. (photos posted below)  I also included some photos of the kids headed off to school, so that we can be reminded that not every day is wonderfully warm.  It can get pretty cold in the mornings when the kids go to the bus. (Not Alaska cold, but Oklahoma cold)  I'm sure there is quite a difference in the degrees between the two.
Now that we have a taste of spring...I'm prematurely ready!!!!

Vivian Elaine

Vivian Elaine

This new little lady who has recently come to our family has been an absolute delight!  I don't think that I forget how fun babies are...because I LOVE babies.  But, having one around all day is a constant reminder of how wonderful and precious they are.  She is the sweetest thing ever, and I just can't get enough of her...(I'm pretty sure Nate and the kids feel the same way.)  Although sometimes I just want her all to myself.  She is such a snuggly bug.  Nuzzles right into your body and stays there.  She gets her little hand and pats my back.  Love her.  Love Her.  Love Her.
She has been such a good baby.  Mild.  Calm.  Easy.  Healthy.  Sleeps through the night.  No trouble at all.  {This is all so far...Which translates to...so far we like her.}   She's so chunky, and came to us with lots of rolls. That gives us lots of her to squeeze.  Between Nate and I (two relatively thin people) We sure do produce chubby babies.  Not to mention I think I'm serving up cream.
Today I shaved her head.  She was born a rock star with an awesome mohawk.  But with the bald spot coming on in the back..the hair was starting to look a bit weird.
She is starting to roll around and she loves to babble sweet nothings.  She has only been stepped on twice (everyone better look out while Austin is playing the Wii) and has had a slinky dropped on her face only once.  Sorry baby girl, this is what you came to.
It's so fun to watch her change and grow.  I'm so grateful I get to stay home with these children.
Vivian.  Vivi.  Vivs.  Vivers. Vivi lane.
